The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry
Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shafer & Annie Barrows
Run by Ann Patchett - great fiction that both Vicky and I loved
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck - Vicky says that this book lead to one of the best conversations ever at any of our former store book clubs.
Saturday by Ian McEwen - another wonderful novel
House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III - a special novel that displays two different cultures coming straight at each other
Interpreter of Malidies by Jhumpa Lahiri - one of the better collections of short stories in years

Epitaph for a Peach by David Mas Masumoto - a California farmer's story of history and a good peach
The Omnivore's Dilemma
and In Defense of Food both by Michael Pollan - two fine works that look at food, our culture, the economy, and our quality of life in the 21st century
